Dear Community,
As we celebrate the milestone of twenty years since the official opening of The Mussar Institute in the United States, we are thrilled to announce our first one day online Mussar Gathering, "Ruach Chaim - Living with Spirit" which will take place Sunday, January 26th, 2025.
Over the past year, and especially since the horrific events of Oct. 7th, 2023, we have experienced the shortness of breath associated with feelings of anxiety, stress and despair. The Torah expresses the essence of life as ruach / spirit. We will explore the spirit and the spiritual, the challenges and the paths to lifting our lives in trying times.
Prepare for a remarkable experience led by internationally renowned Mussar leaders from diverse backgrounds. They will guide you through insightful sessions and provide practical tools to lift our own spirits and to give us the wisdom and strength to lift the spirits of those around us. Enjoy inspiring lectures, interactive learning, small group discussions, and come to forge new connections within our diverse and elevated community.
Whether you're a seasoned Mussar practitioner or are new to Mussar, we wholeheartedly invite you to be part of this incredible celebration of learning and practice.
Join us in a day of renewal, connection, and inspiration!

"A true ’experience’ (chavaya, in Hebrew) occurs when we the feel the occasion has added ‘life’ to us. There are three primary experiences: nature, connecting with people and being alone (seclusion). In other words, the [experience of] the beauty of nature, the “other” and the “I.” … Each of these three are experiences of harmony; harmony outside of the self, harmony which we are a part of, and harmony within us.
