Week 2: Focusing on Strength (Gevurah)
C - Contemplate: “It is taught: ‘A thirty-year-old achieves strength’ (Pirkei Avot 5:21). We might think that this means physical strength, but it actually refers to strength of character, when the ability to fuse strength to purpose emerges.” (Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin)
O - Observe: How can your strengths serve your purpose? How can your purpose reinforce your strengths?
U - Use: “Whatever it is in your power to do, do it with all your might.” (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
N - Notice when, where, and with whom you feel most “on purpose.” Pay attention to the strengths of character that reveal themselves in these moments.
T - Try: Summarize your purpose in one sentence. Ask yourself if you’ve served the purpose you’ve stated at the end of each day this week.
