OMER 5781 (2021) Archive

Each year, on the evening of the second Passover Seder, we begin the traditional counting of “the Omer,” the seven weeks between Passover and Shavuot.  We count these 49 days with a free program of Mussar learning and practice.

During this time of crisis, our community is coming together in a special way to honor those who came before us and taught us life lessons as they faced challenging times.

Ben Zoma would say: “Who is wise? One who learns from every person.”

When we remember the people who taught us, and we recall their lessons, we are tapping into a precious legacy of past experience that offers great wisdom for dealing with our present reality and challenges. Who taught you valuable lessons for living through challenging times?

This year, our program will begin on April 9th and continue through May 28th.
